This special license extension allows us to offer services that ‘standard’ assisted living facilities cannot provide:
- Diabetic care – Conducting numerous blood glucose checks daily, as ordered by a physician, as well as sliding scale insulin injections
- Portable oxygen – Administration and regulation
- Catheter care – Replacement of indwelling catheters
- Special diets, including thickened liquids
- Cast care – 24-hour monitoring by licensed nurses of casts, braces and splints to ensure adequate circulation
- Medication administration – By a licensed nurse, including prescription creams and nebulizer treatments
- Two-person assistance with transfers – Resident must be able to stand and pivot
- Total assistance with activities of daily living – Bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and feeding
