We are seeking friendly, caring, people-oriented and skilled Personal Care Assistants to provide excellent and kind care for our clients.We are currently looking for assistants to shifts from 8am-8pm and 8pm-8am Monday-Sunday. The number of shifts worked per week are negotiable. Ability to work Saturdays and/or Sundays on a rotating basis is highly preferred.
The basic responsibilities will include:
- Providing for and assisting with personal care needs, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, hair care, shaving, oral care, and perineal care
- Assisting with toileting using bedside commode, bedpan, and urinals Assisting with ambulation including the use of walkers, canes, and wheelchairs as needed
- Performing home management functions such as light housekeeping of areas of the residence that the client uses, laundry, bed-making, and cleaning
- Preparing and serving food, feeding, and clean-up
- Caring for intact skin to prevent skin breakdown
- Assisting with transfers to assure client safety
- Caring for Alzheimers or Dementia patients
- Assisting with proper body alignment to prevent complications from immobility
Education/Experience:
- High school graduate or its equivalent.
- Minimum of 6 months experience with caregiving
- Have some knowledge of light house cleaning
- Have some knowledge of meal preparation
- Reliable transportation
- Have the ability to perform essential duties without physical limitation
- Embrace the standards, values, and beliefs of the organization.
- Possess ability to follow oral and written instructions.
